My name is Ron Zauner. I’m 62 and retired. I’ve been married to Margo for 35 years and we have two children, Sarah and Eli. We have lived in Eugene, Or. for 27 years. I was an entrepreneur during my work career in the fresh fruits and vegetable business.
I am not “a builder” by profession, but I worked building fences from when I was 12 to 23 when I was not in school. I am handy. My experiences building living structures before Project 1 were 4 or 5 wood “outbuildings” like workshop and garage. Now, after building 18 homes in Project 1, I have rounded experience building with concrete and block in the Dominican Republic.
I enjoy windsurfing, piano, and my family most.
I’m soft in some ways because I allowed the people in Barrio Blanco to touch my heart.
